What A Seller Experiences When They Decide To Put Their House Up For Sale!

Why My Real Estate Agent Has Helped Me Keep My Hair!

I recently put my house up for sale.

I’m not an especially motivated seller, since I haven’t bought a new home, and I quite like the one in which I reside.  But my husband and I thought we might make a change; we decided to test the market and explore whether or not a move was in order.

So far, it’s been two weeks, and for the most part, it’s been a colossal headache.

And after years of wondering (from a distance) what value a real estate agent brings, I now understand completely.  If I were doing this alone, I would have certainly pulled out all of my hair by now!

It is stressful!

The process of getting your house ready, optimizing its best features, coordinating photographs, the listing and all of the other considerations is an enormous undertaking.

And even once these ducks are in a row, you have to schedule visits, keep the house tidy, follow up with interested prospects, continue to market the property, host open houses and stay optimistic.

It’s a tall order even for the most enthusiastic seller.

I couldn’t do it without the support of an experienced and committed agent by my side.

It never ends!

Then there is the business if purchasing a house.

In the midst of the house-selling chaos, my husband and I are scrambling to explore if there is even an alternative home that will meet our family’s complex needs.

It might seem like a simple task, but no such luck.  It’s really, really, really overwhelming.

It’s a lot of work to sift through new listings and determine which prospects are actually viable.

But once again, thank goodness I have a reliable and committed agent leading the way.

The light at the end of the tunnel

In a best-case scenario, my house will sell and my husband and I will find the house of our dreams (at a bargain, of course!).
